Zambian leading women referee Diana Chikotesha is among the 89 elite match officials (21 referees, 42 assistant referees, 20 video match officials, and six support referees) from 45 countries appointed by FIFA Referees Committee for the upcoming Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
The Women’s Olympic football tournament will run from 25 July to 10 August, 2024, while the men’s competition will start on 24 July and end on 9 August 2024.
Both tourneys will be played at the Parc des Princes, home of Ligue 1 French champions Paris Saint-Germain FC.
The tough as nut Chikotesha has over the past few years proven her professionalism and dedication to the game and has officiated several Fifa and CAF tournaments.
Diana Chikotesha, 35, is also a Physical Education lecturer at Zambia's Rockview University.
