Stop-gap captain of the Black Stars, Thomas Partey has revealed his preparedness to lead and garner a morale-boosting victory for the team ahead of their fierce game against Mali.
Ghana will clash with Mali tonight for their Group I third game of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers at the Stade 26 Mars in Bamako.
However, Partey will be counted on to lead the Black Stars in tonight's game against the Eagles of Mali, as well as their fourth qualifying match against the Central African Republic (CAR) on Monday, June 10, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Arsenal player knows he is not just wanted in midfield, he is needed in midfield, as he shared his thoughts ahead of the crucial hurdle.
"I know I haven’t played recently for the team but I have played a lot of matches for the Black Stars since my debut.
"I have the experience to help the young group of players to get the kind of result we want," he added.
