Highly-rated RC Lens midfielder Abdul Samed Salis is in line to make his maiden appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations after making Ghana's final squad list for the 34th edition.
Chris Hughton has named the transformative midfielder in his squad list for the tournament, which is slated for January 13 to February 11 in Ivory Coast.
 
Since making his debut for the Black Stars in 2022 ahead of the last edition of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the 23-year-old midfielder has made eight appearances for the four-time African champions.
 
Samed Salis is currently one of the highly-rated midfielders in European football this season, having made 23 game outings for RC Lens across all competitions.
 
The Black Stars have been scheduled to commence preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Kumasi on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
 
Coach Chris Hughton's side will play the senior national team of Namibia in an international friendly on January 7, 2022 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
 
The Black Stars will be based in Cote D'Ivoire nation capital, Abidjan and will begin their Group B campaign against Cape Verde on January 14, 2022.
 
Ghana will take on record-title holders Egypt in the match-day two on January 18 before they play against Mozambique on January 22, 2022.
