André Onana could be set for a longer stay in Turkey, with reports suggesting that Trabzonspor are keen to retain the goalkeeper beyond his current loan spell from Manchester United FC.

The Cameroon international joined the Turkish side on loan ahead of the 2025/26 season after falling out of favour at Old Trafford, with United bringing in Senne Lammens as a replacement.

With Lammens impressing in goal for the Premier League club this season, Manchester United are reportedly unwilling to recall Onana following his inconsistent performances over the past two campaigns.

According to reports, Trabzonspor are now exploring options to extend the 29-year-old’s stay, either through another loan agreement or a potential permanent transfer.

Sources also suggest that Onana could still attract interest from other European clubs as uncertainty continues over his long-term future.

Manchester United, who signed the goalkeeper from Inter Milan in 2023 for £47.2 million, are said to be open to a permanent exit as they look to recoup part of their investment.

For now, Onana’s future remains unresolved, but Trabzonspor are positioning themselves strongly to keep him at the club beyond the current deal.
