Ghanaian duo, Paul Acquah and Desmond Agbekpornu, have helped Rivers United to secure their first ever Nigeria Professional Football League title for 2021/22 season.
Rivers United won the league with seventy-seven points, ten points above second placed plateau United.
Former Hearts of Oak midfielder, Paul Acquah, featured sixteen times for the Pride of the Rivers.
Meanwhile, Dennis, 27, played eighteen games for the Port Harcourt-based outfit.
In 2016, Dolphins FC and Sharks FC were merged by the River State Government to form Rivers United after struggling financially.
Rivers United have since enjoyed tremendous improvement over the years and finally clinched their first ever league title.
They will be participating in the CAF champions league and looks set to bolster their squad.
