Former Vipers SC winger Abdu Lumala has joined Croatian top tier side NK Slaven Belupo as a free agent.
In January this year, Vipers SC agreed to terminate Lumala's contract by mutual consent.
His career has been hampered with recurring injuries that limited his playing time at Vipers.
Lumala only managed to score three goals and provided five assists in twenty games played since 2022.
Before joining Vipers, Lumala had a short stint at Egypt’s Pyramids who signed him after an exceptional showing for Uganda Cranes at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
After signing the dotted lines, Lumala took to social media to celebrate his transfer: "The wait is over. Thank you Lord God you are wonderful."
His former club Vipers wrote, “All the best for your new chapter at Croatia’s NK Slaven Belupo Koprivnica, Electric Man ~ Abdu Lumala.
NK Slaven are currently sitting eighth on the 10-team log, having accumulated 27 points in as many points in the SuperSport HNL, which is the top Croatian professional football league system.
