Burkina Faso exhibited a stellar display to record a precious 1-2 win over Ghana in the first semi final to book a final spot in the ongoing WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship.

Goalkeeper Michael Armah made the starting XI alongside skipper Benjamin Tsivanyo, Kagawa Mensah, Joseph Narbi. Abdulai Nortey returned into the line up after missing the last game due to unknown reasons.

The Black Starlets made a very sloppy start to the game despite having much of the possession but looked very jittery with transition from the back to midfield.

Huge clanger from goalkeeper Michael Armah on the 12th minute gifted the Young Stallions their opening goal through Asharaf Tapsoba.

On the 27th minute, sensational Joseph Narbi levelled the score with a beautiful finish from the edge of the box to mark his third of the competition.

Just two minutes into the second half, Asharaf Tapsoba again, went through two Ghanaian defenders to plot into the net to restore their lead to complete his brace.

The Black Starlets returned on a blistering note and took the game at their opponents and attacked from all cylinders but all proved futile.

It finished 1-2 for Burkina Faso after full time who have now advanced to the final of the competition.

They await winner of the second semi final between Nigeria and Cote D'Ivoire
