Coach of Ghana's Black Starlets, Laryea Kingston has admitted that his team faced a tough side despite mauling Ivory Coast 5-1 in the opening match of the WAFU B U-17 Nations Cup tournament.

Kingston in a post-match interview said although they secured a big win, it was a hard-fought game against a tough-nut-to-crack side.

“It’s a joy. We have to enjoy it. It wasn’t an easy game. The Ivorians are not an easy side. They made it difficult for us. We found it difficult to keep the game because of the way they play. I’m excited. Now Ghanaians have to have fun because it’s a good win against a good side,” Coach Kingston said.

Following the Black Starlets win over Ivory Coast on Wednesday night, they next face Benin at the WAFU B U17 Nations Cup tournament.
