Moses Armah Parker, President of Medeama Sporting Club, has affirmed the club's determination to secure victory against Al Ahly in the upcoming UEFA Champions League encounter.
Scheduled for Friday, February 23, the clash between the Ghana Premier League champions and the African giants holds significant importance for Medeama SC.
In an interview with Akoma FM, Parker expressed his unwavering confidence in Medeama's ability to emerge victorious, drawing parallels to their previous triumph over TP Mazembe in 2015.
Parker emphasized the team's preparedness to leave no stone unturned in their quest for three points, highlighting the support of Ghanaian fans as crucial to their success.
“Medeama is going all out, this game means a lot to us, we did it in 2015 against TP Mazembe at Essipong, so repeating it won't be difficult. This Friday, we will shock Ghanaians by defeating Al Ahly and secure qualification in Algeria,” the President of Medeama SC said.
While refraining from making outright predictions, Parker stressed the team's commitment to seeking victory through positive means, buoyed by a generous incentive package awaiting the players in the event of a win.
“I won't predict a win, but we will seek it through all positive means; all we need is the support of all Ghanaians. I have a very big package for the players if they win on Friday, I can't disclose the bonus, but it's bigger than what the FA proposed to the Black Stars, and I know they the players) need more, and this boosts my confidence in winning against Medeama.”
The highly anticipated CAF Champions League clash between Medeama SC and Al Ahly is set to kick off at 4 pm at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
