Black Queens head coach, Kim Lars Björkegren has spoken ahead of the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and added his girls have had enough preparations now and are ever ready for the competition 

The Ghana senior women national team are returning to the continental showpiece for the first time since 2018 when they hosted and are looking forward to a huge mark this time around 

The 2006 finalists arrived in Benslimane weeks ago to continue with their intensive preparations and have engaged in three international friendlies already, having taken down Mali and Benin but unfortunately lost to rivals Nigeria by 3-1 to wrap up their preparations 

Ahead of their their opening game against reigning champions South Africa, they are Swedish tactician said their preparations has been better compared to weeks ago and strongly feels they are very poised for action today 

“This team has been growing a lot over the last month together both on the pitch but also off the pitch so I am feeling that we are physically better prepared and tactically better prepared than if I compare with one month ago, and I am pretty sure the players agree with that as well.”

The game is slated for 16:00GMT/4:00pm later today
