Swedish-based Ghanaian defender, Terry Yegbe has been handed his debut national team call-up to join the Black Stars ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
The 23-year-old is really enjoying life at Elfsborg IF where he's been a regular started in both the Sweden Allsvenskan and the UEFA Europa League.
In the ongoing season, Terry has scored 3 goals and registered an assist in 22 matches and has contributed to six clean sheets in the league.
Following the withdrawal of eight players from the already announced squad, coach Otto Addo has handed an invitation to the enterprising defender to join the team ahead of the upcoming games.
Terry made the list of the new guys coming in alongside Osman Bukari, Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer, Forson Amankwah, Kingsley Schindler.
These players replace Joseph Paintsil, Antoine Semenyo, Ibrahim Osman, Tariq Lamptey, Jerome Opoku, and Inaki Williams, who are unavailable.
Ghana will play Angola on Friday, November 15 and host Niger on Monday, November 18, 2024.
The team trains at Accra Sports Stadium, starting Monday, November 11, at 5 p.m.
