European giants FC Barcelona have refused to sign Ghanaian young-sensation Abdul Aziz Issah on permanent basis after finally ending his season long-loan spell with the club
The 19-year-old joined Barça Atlétic in the last summer transfer window on loan and the agreement includes a purchase option for the club at the end of the season but that clause couldn't get triggered
Aziz, started life very well at FC Barcelona where he got invited to the first by Hansi Flick for couple of training sessions before subsequently featuring in their next two matches against Real Sociedad B and Nastic - all with cameo appearances
The mercurial playmaker has since really struggled to game playing time as he was at some point not in the coaches plan and was left out of matchday squad on number of occasions
Abdul Aziz was outstanding for Dreams FC in the 2023/24 campaign, where he was adjudged the top scorer of the CAF Confederations Cup, netting four goals and providing two assists in just 10 games, playing a pivotal role in helping Dreams FC reach the semi-finals—a historic achievement for the club although they fell short to Egyptian giants Zamalek, Issah's impact was undeniable.
In the Ghana Premier League last season, Issah contributed to 17 goals last season, scoring seven and assisting ten times - an incredible performance that got him on the radar of lots of clubs last summer
He equally impressed at national level having played a key role in helping the Black Satellites clinch a gold medal at the Africa Games last year and was also outstanding in the just ended TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Championship
Abdul Aziz Issah is expected to return to Dreams FC now and hasn't been confirmed whether he is up to another European spell or not
