Abdul-Aziz Yakubu received the man-of-the-match award in Rio Ave's 2-1 victory over Farense in the Portuguese League Cup on Tuesday.
The Ghanaian forward played a crucial role as Rio Ave secured the ticket to the next round of the competition, netting two goals for the Vilacondenses.
On account of Yakubu in this match, he netted in the 30th and 73rd minutes respectively.
Yakubu's display earned plaudits from some big shots in the Portuguese media and supporters of the club.
