The 22-year-old Ghanaian striker is on the verge of completing his loan switch to the Cyprus top-flight outfit in this ongoing winter transfer window 

Cyprus First Division League side AEK Larnaca FC have announced a deal in principle with Swedish Allsvenskan side Malmo FF for the loan services of Ghanaian forward Malik Abubakari until the end of this season's league campaign.

The Larnaca-based club have said "the footballer is expected in Cyprus in the next 24 hours for the conclusion of the agreement" barring any last minute hitch upon medical examinations.

Having returned from a loan stint with Finnish outfit HJK Helsinki, the bulky forward is now set to proceed on another loan spellwith the AEK Arena – Georgios Karapatakis Stadium outfit for the remainder of the season.

"Kition Sports Union (AEK) Larnaca announces the agreement in principle with Malmoe FF for the acquisition of the 22-year-old (02/10/2000) Ghanaian striker Abdul Malik Abubakari, on loan until the end of the season. The footballer is expected in Cyprus in the next 24 hours for the conclusion of the agreement," a statement from AEK Larnaca FC reads.

The Charity Stars FC product current deal with Malmo FF will run out on Dec 31, 2025 and he is yet to be capped by Ghana at the men's senior national team, the Back Stars.
