AFC Ajax manager, Alfred Schreuder has stated he's always seen Kudus Mohammed as an attacker and is really impressed with his ability to emulate his goal-scoring form at the World Cup.
The 21 year old has been sensational since his breakaway at FC Nordsjaelland, something he's replicated since switching to Ajax Amsterdam despite facing injuries at some point.
He was strongly linked with a move to join both Everton and German giants Borussia Dortmund last summer but all couldn't materialize despite wanting a move away from Amsterdam due to lack of playing time fraustrations.
However, the mercurial playmaker proved his capabilities when handed the opportunity, having netted nine goals in 20 matches for the Jews so far in the 2022/23 season, with four happenings in the UEFA Champions League, including a beauty against last year runners up Liverpool at Anfield.
In the ongoing 2022 World Cup, Kudus Mohammed netted two goals and won a man of the match accolade in addition but wasn't enough as Ghana bowed out of the competition in the first round after painfully losing to Uruguay in their final group game last Friday.
Speaking in interview, the 50 year old gaffer feels very ecstatic with Kudus Mohammed's incredible form and added he will always wish to deploy him as a forward and not his usual midfield role.
"It is nice to see that Mohammed has also scored his goals for Ghana. He already did that for us before the World Cup." he said.
"I said from the start that he looks more like an attacker to me, who is very difficult to defend. This is partly because we have a lot of good midfielders."
Kudus Mohammed is currently on the wish-list of clubs like Everton, Borussia Dortmund and two European giants Liverpool and FC Barcelona.
