Black Stars defender, Alexander Djiku made a cameo appearance in his debut for Fenerbahçe SK who recorded a narrow 1-0 win over Azerbaijani side Neftçi PFK in a preseason friendly in Russia.

The French-born Ghanaian international despite being announced just early this week, made his holidays short to join his new club's preseason tour in Russia for ahead of the new football season. 

The 28-year-old center-back, who garnered interest from multiple clubs during the summer transfer window, shunned all to join the Turkish giants on a three year deal after a successful medicals.
 
The bulky defender played a crucial role in helping Strasbourg avoid relegation last season, and spent a total of four years with the French club.
 
Djiku, finally has joined the team's preparations towards the 2023/24 campaign with gym works as he definitely hopes to become a mainstay subsequently especially when the season begins.
