Algerian side MC Alger have ended their relationship with Ghanaian forward Joseph Esso by mutual consent after two and half season

The 26 year old joined the People's Club in the middle of the 2020/21 season from Dreams FC and had a fantastic start at the 5 July 1962 Stadium.

He contributed to ten goals in the second round; having scored seven and provided three assists in eighteen appearances for the Mouloudias.

In his second season, Esso scored only three times with an assist in thirty-three appearances, which couldn't match his impact in the previous campaign.

In the last season, he struggled for playing time and scored and assisted one each which looked really abysmal and below par, main reason he's had his contract terminated. Official club statement reads;

"Thank you Esso. Mouloudia Algeria club management has reached agreement with Ghanaian player Joseph Esso to terminate the contract that links him to the team by compromise."

"The 'Dean' management extends it thanks to the player for everything he has given to the team during his tenure in the green and red shirt and fr treating him with good behavior for two and a half seasons and wishes him all the best in his next trial."

The ex- Hearts of Oak forward is now a free agent and is currently at liberty to join any club of his choice.
