Ghana international Andre Ayew has terminated his contract with Qatari top-tier club Al-Sadd by mutual consent, the club has announced.
Ayew joined Al-Sadd on a free transfer prior to the commencement of the 2021/22 season after ending his stay at English Championship side Swansea City.
The club's official statement reads “Al-Sadd SC has reached an agreement with Andre Ayew to terminate his contract with the club by mutual consent”
Ayew managed to score 18 goals in his 30 game outings for reigning Qatari champions Al-Sadd.
He won the Qatar Stars League in his first season with the club.
Ayew had five months left on his two-year contract at Al Sadd
