Former Ghana international Anthony Baffoe has withdrawn from the committee appointed to identify a new head coach for the Black Stars, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed.

His departure leaves the committee with four remaining members who will continue the search for a successor to lead Ghana’s senior national team.

The committee is chaired by former GFA vice-president Fred Pappoe, who will oversee the process following Baffoe’s withdrawal.

Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah, Agbesi Dzakpasu and Faisal Chibsah are among the members who remain on the panel.

The GFA has confirmed that the committee will continue its work despite the change in membership, with the responsibility of identifying a suitable candidate for the national team still in place.

The Black Stars will now be led by Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren on interim basis for the double-header against Somalia next month before a substantive coach will be appointed later.
