Ghana centre-forward Antoine Semenyo scored a late equalizer to snatch a point for AFC Bournemouth against Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League opener on Saturday afternoon.
Semenyo secured a point for Bournemouth with a 86th-minute goal as they came from behind to hold Nottingham Forest to a 1-1 stalemate at the City Ground Stadium.
Chris Wood swept home the Forest opener in the 23rd minute after Cherries goalkeeper Neto parried a Ryan Yates shot to his feet.
It followed a sickening early leg injury to their Brazilian midfielder Danilo, who was taken off on a stretcher after a clash with Semenyo.
Bournemouth - who had a goal disallowed in the first half - were much improved in the second half and levelled as Semenyo bundled home from close range when Forest failed to properly clear a cross.
Semenyo had an incredible pre-season with AFC Bournemouth during their friendlies in the United States.
He was handed a two-year contract by the Cherries to keep him at the club until the summer of 2029.
