Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the 2025/26 English Premier League Player of the Week award following his outstanding display on the opening weekend of the season.
The Black Stars striker featured for AFC Bournemouth last Friday in their tough opening fixture against defending champions Liverpool at Anfield. Despite the Cherries falling to a 4-2 defeat, Semenyo was the standout performer, netting a brilliant second-half brace that troubled the Reds’ backline throughout the game.
His performance has now earned him a place on the shortlist for the Player of the Week award, where he competes with other top performers from Round 1, including Dan Ballard, Hugo Ekitike, Erling Haaland, David Raya, Tijjani Reijnders, Richarlison, and Chris Wood.
At 25 years old, Semenyo has carried his fine form from last season into the new campaign, starting strongly with two goals in his first match. Bournemouth fans and Ghanaian supporters alike will be eager to see him continue his scoring run as he looks set to play a key role for the club this season.
Fans can cast their votes for Semenyo through the official Premier League platform.
