Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has announced that Thomas Partey will make a comeback to the Arsenal squad on Monday when they take on Sheffield United, who are currently cellar dwelling on bottom in the league log.
The Ghanaian international has not featured for the Gunners since October, 2023 and has only made four Premier League appearances this season due to multiple injuries.
“Thomas has a session before the last game and now he’s done two consecutive sessions and he should be part of the squad,” Arteta told reporters on Thursday.
According to Arteta, Sheffield United is a skillfully managed team that is hard to defeat.
“It will be a tough match, when you are (in the relegation zone) you really want to get out of it as quickly as possible,” he said.
“We have a lot to play for as well and this is a big game for us."
After 26 games, Arsenal has 58 points, two points behind leaders Liverpool. Manchester United is 11 points outside of the safety zone with 13 points.
