Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, has given an optimistic update regarding the potential return of Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey to action for the upcoming match against Sheffield United.

Partey, a key player for Arsenal, has been sidelined since October 2023 due to an injury sustained while representing the Black Stars on international duty. Despite being cleared for a return to action on multiple occasions, he has faced setbacks with a recurring problem, keeping him out of play for the past four months and causing him to miss over 20 matches.

However, there is now a glimmer of hope as Partey has been making significant progress in his recovery. He has been actively participating in daily training sessions with his Arsenal teammates, showcasing impressive movement and form, particularly during a recent session on Wednesday, February 28.

Arteta, speaking ahead of the Sheffield United game scheduled for Monday, March 4, expressed confidence in Partey's readiness to rejoin the squad. "Thomas had a session before the last game and now he’s done two consecutive sessions so he should be part of the squad on Monday," Arteta confirmed, hinting at the midfielder's potential inclusion in the upcoming match.

This news comes as a welcome relief for Arsenal fans, who eagerly anticipate the return of their influential midfielder to bolster the team's lineup and strengthen their chances of securing a positive result against Sheffield United.
