Arsenal are set to keep Thomas Partey this summer amid transfer interest for the Ghanaian midfielder, Kickgh.com understands.
The Gunners have blatantly asked possible suitors to back-off as they've considered him unavailable for an imminent transfer.
However, they had previously given permission for the holding midfielder to explore a transfer to Saudi Arabia, while the likes of Juventus and Fenerbahce are circling in the hope of getting a bargain in recent times.
Partey's preference was to remain in Europe rather than head to Saudi Arabia, but no European suitors were prepared to meet Arsenal’s asking price. He then joined the Gunners’ squad in pre-season and, by the latter half of July, the club were no longer looking to sell.
Kickgh.com understands that, although we're in a new month, Arsenal’s stance hasn’t changed and are willing to hear offers in the region of £50m (GH₵712,862,799.50), which they think would be enough to persuade them to sell. Such an amount would represent a small profit on the £45m (GH₵641,566,403.10) release clause that was triggered to sign Partey from Atletico Madrid in 2020.
