Reigning UEFA Europa League champions, Atalanta BC are in advanced talks to complete the signing of Ghana international Ibrahim Sulemana in the ongoing summer transfer window.
According to Italian transfer expert Di Marzio, The Bergamo-based side are close to reaching an agreement with Cagliari to secure a signature of the 21-year-old workaholic midfielder ahead of the 2024–25 season campaign.
The move will mark his return to Serie A side, Atalanta BC, a club he joined after leaving the shores of Ghana at age 17 before enjoying spells with Verona and Cagliari.
Sulemana has been a delight to watch in his debut season with Cagliari following his move from Hellas Verona, particularly under the guidance of manager Claudio Ranieri.
He featured prominently in Serie A, starting 16 games and making five substitute appearances, while also netting two goals.
His performances didn't go unnoticed, earning him a spot in Ghana's national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central African Republic in June.
Sulemana made his international debut as a substitute in Ghana's thrilling 4-3 victory over the Central African Republic at Baba Yara Stadium.
