Ghana and Atletico Madrid midfield enforcer Thomas Teye Partey says his club topmost ambitions this season is to win titles.
The 23-year-old midfielder has revealed that his club's priority this season is to win laurels as they have set sights in reaching the Champions League finals for the second time running.
The ex-Almeria man was stupendous in his side's 1-0 win over English giants Tottenham Hotspurs in their International Champions Cup friendly game in Melbourne on Friday.
Partey lasted in the game up to the 75th minute before he was replaced by Amath Ndiaye Diedhieou.
However, the youngster believes his outfit fine form in the ongoing pre-season will ginger them to victory in the pre-eminent La Liga top-flight season.
"Let me state that, Simeone believes in my work and there's nothing i've to do again to prove my mettle in the squad to gain the manager's trust in order to get much playing time," he said of his game time after their slim victory against Tottenham.
"The team's goal is to win every game, reach the Champions League finals again and try to win titles,"
He added: "This is a pre-season game but it's always important to win every game and keep the clean sheet. Now we must continue working hard in this pre-season because we've a lot of preparation ahead in order to arrive at the best level ahead of the league season."
Atletico Madrid will play Melbourne victory in their next fixture of the International Champions Cup on Sunday.
