Ghanaian winger Augustine Boakye scored a late equalizer to snatch a point for AS Saint-Etienne against FC Nantes in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday evening.
AS Saint-Etienne needed an 86th-minute magic moment from the former WAFA talismanic attacker to avoid a defeat to FC Nantes in the matchday 18 fixture at the Stade Geoffroy Guichard.

Boakye brilliantly leveled the score for AS Saint-Etienne with an audacious strike from outside the box to beat the FC Nantes goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the game.
He has now scored three goals in 11 French Ligue 1 appearances for AS Saint-Etienne in his debut season.
A 30-minute standout performance of Augustine Boakye against FC Nantes
The former Ghana U20 attacker delivered a five-star performance in AS Saint-Etienne's 1-1 home draw with FC Nantes after being introduced in the 60th minute as a replacement for 16-year-old Djylian N'Guessan.
Boakye incredibly increased his goal tally to three after just 26 minutes of his introduction for his eleventh game for the Stade Geoffroy Guichard outfit.
The 24-year-old had a difficult start at the French club, having arrived from Wolfsberger AC in the 2024 summer transfer window, and needed the new year to end his goal drought by netting a brace in AS Saint-Etienne's 3-1 home win over Stade Reims.
Boakye is yet to earn a call-up to play for the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars. He has been tipped to be one of the bright spots in Otto Addo's team.
