The talented teenage sensation of Ghanaian heritage has revealed his aspiration to represent the four-time African champions at the international level

Belgian-born Ghanaian starlet Emmanuel Oppong Darko  has said that "it would be absolutely an honour" to play for the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars.

The 18-year-old nimble footed winger, who just joined up with Slovak First Football League side KFC Komárno in the summer of 2026, is also leaving his door ajar for the Belgium national football over his international career in the not too distant future.

The former Club Brugge and KAA Gent budding star wants to focused on his club footballing career for now and would make the right decision over his nationality pledge to the west African powerhouse when the need arises.



lnteracting with KICKGH from his base in Slovakia, the promising whiz kid has pointed out: "Absolutely," the 18-year-old began when quizzed about his readiness to feature for the Black Stars team at the international level.

He continued; "It would be a huge honour to represent Ghana at senior level. At the same time, I’m also eligible for Belgium, so I’m keeping an open mind about my international future. Right now, my main focus is performing consistently for my club and continuing to develop. Hopefully, when the opportunity comes, I’ll be in a position to make the right decision."

Oppong is set to figure for both the first-team and the youth sides of KFC Komárno in the Slovakian football competitions this season.
