Sensational Ghanaian striker Benjamin Bernard Boateng slotted home his seventh goal of the season for Smouha in a stunning 2-0 win at Ghazl El Mahalla on Tuesday night football of the Egyptian Premier League.
The former Elmina Sharks prolific goalscorer augured the Blue Wave's second goal in the 85th minute after Hossam Hassan has shot them ahead, albeit in waggish circumstances.
Ghazl El Mahalla's formation suggested they had set out to defend and hold their visitors at bay, and they set about soaking up Smouha's early incursion before conceding the opener.
Boateng has now scored seven goals in 25 league outing in the Egyptian top tier this season.
