Ghana striker Benjamin Tetteh has officially joined NK Maribor on loan from French Ligue 2 side FC Metz.

The clubs confirmed this transfer, stating that Tetteh's loan will last for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

Neither club disclosed a buy option as part of the agreement, keeping the future of the striker uncertain beyond this loan stint.

Tetteh's move comes after a challenging season plagued by injuries that limited his playing time significantly. The striker struggled to find his form and fitness in France, where he made only 13 appearances for FC Metz, starting just once. Despite his struggles, FC Metz expressed their support for Tetteh's new journey, wishing him well in a statement that highlighted his decision to leave the club.

"Arrived in Moselle last summer, Benjamin Tetteh will not wear the maroon jersey for the 2024-2025 season. Indeed, the Ghanaian international is leaving FC Metz and joining Maribor in Slovenia on loan," the statement read.

Fans of both clubs look forward to watching Tetteh regain his fitness and make an impact in Slovenia as he seeks to revitalize his career.
