Ghanaian forward Bernard Tekpetey has been named Man of the Match after scoring twice in Ludogorets Razgrad’s 5-0 win over Arda Kardzhali in the Bulgarian First League on Monday night.
The former Schalke 'wing-wizerd' scored his first goal in the 44th minute with a powerful left-footed shot from a tight angle.
He scored again from a free-kick just before half-time to help Ludogorets secure a big win at the Ludogorets Arena.
The 29-year-old received 59% of the fans’ votes to win the Player of the Match award.
Tekpetey captained the team and continues to play an important role at Ludogorets.
The five-time Bulgarian league winner hopes to help the club win back the title after losing it to rivals Levski Sofia last season.
He has scored four goals and provided two assists in seven league matches this season.
Tekpetey is expected to lead Ludogorets again when they face Beroe in the Bulgarian Cup on Saturday, October 17.
