The Swedish elite division campaigners are reportedly eyeing the Ghanaian defender to augment their backline options

Ghanaian centre-back Stephan Ambrosius is being courted by Swedish Allsvanskan side BK Häcken, a report from the Swedish media has claimed.

The 25-year-old stopper, who is currently on the books of German second-tier side Hamburger SV, is said to be the chief transfer target of the Gothenburg-based club having penciled down three centre-backs for reinforcements in their defensive line set-up.

A report filed by Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet, BK Hacken are eager to sign a central defender and have prioritised the capturing of the Ghanaian stopper to augment that department going forward.

His contract with Hamburger SV will be up in this upcoming summer and the Swedish top-flight outfit could leverage over this to land him in a given time.

Ambrosius has so far earned one cap at the men's senior national team of Ghana after switching allegiance from Germany and represented the west African powerhouse on the international stage.
