Black Queens defender, Janet Egyir has penned a one-year contract with Israeli women’s top-flight Championship side Hapoel Jerusalem.
The 30-year-old centre-back joins her new club as a free agent after leaving Ghanaian Women's club Hasaacas Ladies.
Egyir is expected to play a huge role for the Israeli powerhouse in the 2022/23 league season.
The club annouced her signing; "We are very happy to announce the joining of Janet Egyir, the defensive player of the Ghana national team, to the ranks of Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem girls."
The former Iceland's Vikingur Olasvik star played an important role as Hasaacas Ladies reached the final of the maiden edition of the CAF Women Champions League last season but unfortunately lost the trophy to South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns.
"I am happy and excited to join the warm family of Hapoel Jerusalem, can't wait for the start of the season to meet the fans," she stated.
Hasaacas Ladies has, however, expressed their profound gratitude for her service to the club.
