According to exclusive reports in the local media, French giants Olympique Lyon are unlikely to keep Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah ahead of the 2024/25 football season and Italian Serie A giants AS Roma have already expressed interest.

The 20-year-old joined the Kids in the last summer on a season long loan from their sister-club RWD Molenbeek- who had just signed him from Danish giants FC Nordsjaelland for €18 million.

On arrival, the mercurial winger enjoyed a good debut season in the French Ligue 1 but Les Gones really struggled and weren't at their best in the entire season and that somehow affected the player's performance individually.

Nuamah, made 29 league appearances and contributed 3 goals and 2 assists- but Lyon are still nonchalant on whether to make his move permanent and is most likely he will return to his parent club RWD Molenbeek in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

Speculations has it that, the seven-time French champions are unwilling to keep the service of the Right to Dream Academy graduate mainly due to financial issues as they have to downsize their squad for the new season.

Ernest Nuamah despite all these, is also being tracked by Serie A side AS Roma- who per reports, are monitoring the player's situation and are willing to land his service but only held back a little due to his current price tag.

He an integral member of the recent Black Stars squad when they recorded back to back wins over Mali and Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
