Ghanaian international, Joseph Aidoo has been ruled out for almost a month following a fresh injury he sustained over the weekend.

The 29-year-old was in the starting line up for Real Valladolid in their embarrassing 7-1 away loss to Athletic Club at the Estadio San Mamerse last Sunday in round 25 game of the Spanish La Liga.

He was playing in the main heart among the three center-backs in the five-back system but picked an injury in the 65th minute and was replaced with Swiss international Eray Cömert.

Aidoo, after undergoing scans, will be sidelined for 2-3 weeks and is very possible there could be setbacks, the club has confirmed.

The ex- Inter Allies defender joined the Estadio Jose Zorilla-based side in the just closed winter transfer window on loan with the main aim of securing more playing time having stayed off for sometime now.

Joseph Aidoo previously stayed off football for several months after suffering a raptured Achilles tendon in his left leg - an injury he sustained in an international friendly against Mexico in October 2023
