Black Stars defender, Joseph Aidoo has been ruled out of Celta Vigo's crunchy clash against Atletico Madrid this weekend in match-day 10 of the Spanish Laliga.
The 28-year-old was fully fit before the second international window, having warmed the bench in their 2-2 home draw with Getafe before the break.
The bulky defender was included in Ghana's squad and made the starting line up against Mexico- but could last only 28 minutes on the pitch due to injury.
The ex- Inter Allies defender fractured his left achilles tendon is still out and the actual extent of his injury is still yet to be determined and has currently returned to Spain to begin his rehabilitation.
However, the unpleasant development this morning is that, Aidoo has been ruled out of their game against Atletico Madrid- with Carl Starfelt and Unai Nunez likely to be maintained in the heart of defence.
Joseph Aidoo has played six out of the total of nine games so far this season and will hope to recover fully and return in action as soon as possible.
The Sky Blues have just a win so far in the new season and are currently found on the 18th spot on the league standing with just six points.
