Premier League side, Bournemouth manager, Gary O'Neil, has confirmed that Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has recently undergone surgery for a shin injury.

Fortunately, the operation was successful, but Semenyo, 23, will now face a recovery period that regrettably sidelines him for the remainder of the current season.

Since joining Bournemouth in January, Semenyo has made an impact, featuring in 11 Premier League matches. Just a few weeks ago, he celebrated his debut goal against Leeds United, demonstrating his promising talent and potential.

O'Neil remains optimistic about Semenyo's recovery, expressing his desire for a "speedy recovery" that would allow the young attacker to participate in the team's preseason preparations.

However, the exact timeline for Semenyo's return remains uncertain, as it hinges on the pace of his recovery and rehabilitation process.

Providing further details, O'Neil commented, "Antoine has undergone surgery, so he will be out until next season. We're hopeful that he can return and have a good spell with the team before the season commences, but it will depend on how quickly he recovers."
