English-born Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante expressed his delight after scoring in Coventry City’s convincing 3-0 victory over Preston North End in round 37 of the EFL Championship at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
The 27-year-old was on the scoresheet as the Sky Blues continued their impressive run of form, stretching their winning streak to six consecutive matches in the league.
Following the victory, the forward praised the team’s unity and determination and has urged them to continue with same momentum in subsequent matches
“We stuck together; we believed in each other. Now we’re happy to be out the other side!” Thomas-Asante said after the game.
The goal adds to the Ghanaian attacker’s impressive campaign, as he now boasts 11 goals and four assists in 24 Championship appearances this season, underlining his importance in Coventry’s attack.
The result keeps Coventry City firmly in the promotion race as they prepare to welcome Southampton FC in their next league fixture on March 14.
Thomas-Asante will also be hoping his consistent performances continue as he pushes for a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
