German-born Ghanaian international, Braydon Manu has had a short stint with the Black Stars in recent years and is willing and desperate to return when he starts playing actively once again.
The 27-year-old after agreeing to switch nationality and play for Ghana, had his first Black Stars invite in 2021 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Ethiopia and hasn't returned since.
The Darmstadt 98 attacker played an instrumental role to finally have his Bundesliga dream come true after contributing 14 goals [7 goals, 7 assists] in 28 appearances to help them emerge champions of the Bundesliga II in the 2022/23 season.
Having gotten promotion into the German topflight, the 27-year-old was sadly hindered with series of injuries and setbacks which saw him make only four appearances in the Bundesliga with his club once again being relegated.
In an interview on 3Sports, the lanky winger has expressed readiness to return to the Black Stars but knows he will have to start playing competitively and deliver outstanding performances before he could win the heart of the Ghanaian football faithfuls.
"I’m ready, I’m hoping that when I start playing again and when I prove myself, they know they have a good Ghanaian player outside of Ghana,” he asserted.
Braydon Manu's current contract with Darmstadt 98 will expire at the end of this month and is set to seek a new challenge elsewhere
