The Black Stars centre-back is set to undergo medical at the TSG Hoffenheim in Germany ahead of a sensational switch from France.

German Bundesliga outfit TSG Hoffenheim have reached an agreement with Strasbourg over the signing of Ghana international Alexander Djiku in the ongoing summer transfer window.

 
According to French tabloid lequipe.fr, the 27-year-old is joining TSG Hoffenheim for a fee in the region of €6 million after Strasbourg President Marc Keller granted his move away from the French Ligue 1 club.
 
Djiku's contract with Strasbourg was due to expire in the summer of 2023 as and had no intention of extending his stay at the French side.
 
Djiku has arrived in Germany to undergo a mandatory medical examination on Wednesday before completing his transfer in the coming hours.
 
The tough-minded guardsman played an instrumental role in Ghana's qualification to the 2022 World Cup after a blistering performance against Nigeria in the final play-off games.
 
He was named Footballer of the year at the 2022 Ghana Football Awards following a standout season in the French Ligue 1 for Strasbourg last term.
 
Djiku featured in 33 games across all competitions in the 2021/22 campaign where he managed to score once, a goal that stole headlines in France.
