Ghanaian winger Andre Ayew has been ruled out for four months with a thigh injury, according to Daily Mirror.
The West Ham new boy limped off with a thigh problem just half an hour into his debut against Chelsea on Monday night following his £20.5million switch from Swansea City.
Ayew did not travel to Romania for the Europa League clash against Astra Giurgiu on Thursday, and it now appears Hammers boss Slaven Bilic will be without the Ghanaian frontman until the new year.
The 26-year-old is understood to require surgery in a bid to fix the problem.
Ayew will also miss Ghana's AFCON qualifiers against Rwanda.
