Versatile Ghanaian defender, Alidu Seidu's move to Stade Rennais FC is done after reaching agreement with his club Clermont Foot, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.
According to reports from a reliable source, the fee involved is €11 million plus bonuses and that happens to be the fourth bid the Reds submitted, after having their first three all rejected by the the Lancers.
They first submitted an offer of €8m which was turned down before their subsequent €9.5m and €10.5m were all also rejected but finally had their fourth approach accepted with official announcement very imminent.
Speculations has it that, after both teams had reached an agreement, Alidu has also already agreed personal terms with the Red and Blacks and everything will be made official when he returns after the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
The 23-year-old bulky defender has been outstanding this season, having made 14 appearances in the Ligue 1 so far with an assist to his belt.
He is yet to feature for the Black Stars at the AFCON and will hope for a starting berth against the Mambas of Mocambique on Monday, January 22, 2024..
