The experienced midfielder has completed a sensational switch to the Belgian top-tier league outfit until the end of the season.

Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso has officially joined Belgian Jupilier League side KAS Eupen on a season-long loan deal.

 
The 31-year-old has joined the Black and White lads on a season-long loan deal from Chinese Super League side FC Shenzhen on the transfer deadline day.
 
The club's official statement reads “The 70-time Ghanaian international Mubarak Wakaso will play for KAS Eupen until the end of this season. The 32-years-old midfielder is on loan from Chinese first division club FC Shenzhen”
 
He has spent the last three years in China, where he played for the defunct Jiangsu Suning, helping them win the 2020 Chinese Super League. The club folded in 2021.
 
KAS Eupen already have two Ghanaian footballers namely Isaac Nuhu and Manaf Nurudeen in their folds.
 
Wakaso, who was a member of the Black Stars team at the Nations Cup in Cameroon early this year, has been out of action since February due to injury.
 
With just 80 days to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, his return to active football will entice Ghana coach Otto Addo, who believes in the experience of the midfielder
 
Mubarak Wakaso spent most of his career in Spain where he played for Villareal, Elche, Las Palmas, Espanyol and Deportivo Alaves.
