Serbian-based Samuel Owusu hopes to make the Black Stars final squad for World Cup after making the provisional list but has been excluded, Kickgh.com can exclusively reveal.
The 26 year old started the new season on a very higher note with Serbian side FK Cukaricki and it is of no doubt he made the first phase of the squad.
He's made 15 appearances so far in the 2022/23 season at club level with a goal to his belt.
The mercurial winger has been with the national team since 2019 despite being overlooked recently and even made the squad for both AFCON 2019 in Egypt and 2021 in Cameroon early this year.
Coach Otto Addo is expected to announce Ghana's 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Friday, November 11, 2022.
The confirmed final squad will leave for Abu Dhabi, UAE for a pre World Cup training tour where they will face Switzerland in their last friendly to get themselves adequately prepared and gelled for the World Cup.
Ghana is in Group H, and will face 2016 European champions Portugal in their opening fixture of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on November 24, at the Stadium 974 in the capital, Doha.
