Ghana international midfielder Thomas Partey has handed in a transfer request to leave Arsenal, according to a report from the English media.
The 30-year-old is now deemed as a surplus to requirements by the Emirates Stadium outfit and are looking forward to offloading him having embarked on a big spending spree on recruitments ahead of the upcoming season.
According to online outlet Football Transfer, Partey has asked his Spanish manager that he wants to leave this summer as he doesn't want to fall down the pecking order in midfield next term.
The report added that Arsenal are willing to let go their 50 million euros man if they get a decent amount for his services from his current admirers in this ongoing transfer window.
It's understood that clubs from Saudi Arabia Pro League side and Italian heavyweights Juventus are interested in signing Partey but are yet to table formal bids for his transfer move this summer.
The Gunners are currently busy in the transfer market after signing former Chelsea and Germany international Kai Havertz - with West Ham star Declan Rice expected to follow suits in the coming days.
A meeting between Partey and Arsenal is expected to come on soon after which a decision over his future would be made in a bid to cash in on him this summer.
His contract with Arsenal will run out on June 30, 2025 and admirers must fork out 35 million euros to secure his signature per his transfermarkt valuation.
