Tariqe Fosu, the Ghanaian international, will be leaving Brentford as a free agent after both parties decided not to renew his contract.

The Premier League's official website recently listed the 27-year-old forward as one of the players released by the club, as their contracts are set to expire at the end of June.

Hailing from London, Fosu joined Brentford from Oxford United in January 2020, and over the course of three years, he made 63 appearances and scored five goals. However, he did not feature for Thomas Frank's team in the final year of his contract.

During Brentford's successful 2020/21 season, which led to their promotion to the Premier League, Fosu played a significant role, making 39 appearances and contributing four goals along with four assists.

Fosu's sole Premier League appearance for Brentford came in March 2022 when he came on as a late substitute in a 2-1 defeat against Leicester City.

In the first half of the 2022/23 season, Fosu was loaned out to Stoke City in the Championship. He later joined Rotherham United on loan in January, where he made 19 appearances.

As Fosu departs Brentford as a free agent, he will be exploring new opportunities for the next chapter of his football career.
