Dreams FC striker John Antwi has issued a warning to his teammates, urging them to avoid complacency ahead of their return leg fixtures against Zamalek SC in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Ghana Premier League side is set to host the Egyptian giants on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium, with kick-off scheduled at 16:00GMT. Dreams FC secured a goalless draw in the first leg at the Cairo International Stadium.

Antwi emphasized the importance of approaching Sunday’s match with utmost seriousness in an interview with Joy Sports, stressing that complacency is not an option.

"We are not going to be complacent. We got a draw there, but we know the reverse fixture will be equally challenging here in Ghana. So, as always, we will prepare thoroughly and give our best," said the former Al Ahly striker.

"Currently, we are slightly ahead. Achieving a goalless draw in the first leg puts us in a good position. If we can secure a 1-0 win here, we advance to the next stage. However, we cannot afford to be complacent. We must work hard and secure the win to progress," he concluded.

In a bid to rally support for the team, Dreams FC has announced that Sunday’s match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium will be free of charge for general admission. However, tickets will be available for purchase for those interested in the VIP and VVIP sections of the stadium.

Dreams FC, enjoying a record-breaking season, is expected to depart for Kumasi today ahead of the highly anticipated fixture.
