Cagliari Calcio are seeking a reunion with Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana having made enquires about him from his club Atalanta BC but will be facing competition from Parma, who have also expressed interest.
The 22-year-old joined the Blue-Blacks in the last summer transfer window on the back of an outstanding performance with Cagliari Calcio
The versatile midfield-anchor didn’t really get much game time in Bergamo but has always made good use of the few opportunities that came his way having made 10 appearances in all competitions in the just finished campaign with two goals to his belt.
The lanky middleman was voted the club’s player of the month for May, having notched twice including one against AS Roma - a goal that punched Atalanta their ticket to this season's UEFA Champions League.
After what looked like a descent pre-season and even scoring in one of their games, reports has it that manager Ivan Juric has informed the club that the Ghanaian isn’t in his plans and should find any means possible to offload him before the window is closed and was left out of their squad against Pisa.
Sulemana’s former club Cagliari Calcio and Parma have been monitoring the situation and will definitely battle it out against each in the final weeks for the signature of the former Hellas Verona man.
Ibrahim Sulemana was recently part of the Black Stars squad at the Unity Cup tournament and featured against Trinidad and Tobago in the third-place playoff
