Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo is on the cusp of a potential move away from Swedish club Elfsborg before the summer transfer window closes, with multiple European clubs showing strong interest in the talented player.

Baidoo, 25, has become a sought-after target in Europe, thanks to his exceptional performances in the Swedish Allsvenskan. His form has not only caught the attention of top clubs but has also put him on the radar for a possible call-up to the Ghana national team, the Black Stars.

Elfsborg’s sporting director, Stefan Andreasson, acknowledged the possibility of Baidoo’s departure, confirming ongoing discussions and significant interest. "We have some discussions. There is a lot of interest and requests," Andreasson stated. "We've focused on the Allsvenskan and advancing in European competitions. But we know we have to make certain decisions, and I guess Baidoo is one of those players. You can guess yourself."

Baidoo has been a standout for Elfsborg over the last two seasons. This season, he has netted 10 goals in 26 appearances and contributed to 17 goals across all competitions, solidifying his reputation as one of the league's top performers.

Bundesliga side LASK Linz and English Championship club Plymouth Argyle are reportedly among the frontrunners in the race to secure Baidoo’s signature. As the transfer deadline approaches, his future remains one of the key storylines in the summer market.
