Ghana attacking midfielder Kudus Mohammed has been handed jersey no.14 at his new club, West Ham United for the 2023/24 season's campaign.

Kudus completed his switch from Dutch giants Ajax to West Ham United in the Premier League after signing a five-year contract earlier today.

The 23-year-old, who has been described as a terrific young talent by West Ham United manager David Moyes, was unveiled by the London club on Sunday evening.

West Ham United paid a transfer fee around the region of €45 million to Ajax to win the chase after attracting interest from Brighton, Broussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Ghana international enjoyed a tremendous three seasons at Ajax, winning the Dutch Eredivisie title two times and the Dutch Cup. He scored 27 goals and provided 17 assists in 87 appearances for the Amsterdam based club.

The Black Stars attacking midfielder is West Ham's third major summer signing following his former Ajax teammate and Mexico international Edson Álvarez and England midfielder James Ward-Prowse.

Mohammed Kudus will begin training with West Ham United on Monday and prepare for their next Premier League match as they travel to face Luton Town on Friday, September 1.
